Project cooperation and process chain

Along the process chain, which is to be tested and verified by the practical investigations, defined fields of research arise for the individual project partners in accordance with the expertise they bring to the project. HST Systemtechnik (HST), Oswald Schulze (OS) and Aqseptence (AS) provide applied expertise on plant and control technologies. The Institute for Social-Ecological Research (ISOE) complements this comprehensive approach with socio-economic aspects in the partner country China and the overcoming of diffusion barriers for implementation. The German university partners of the TU Darmstadt (IWAR) and TU Braunschweig (ISWW) are conducting the practical studies in close coordination and support of the Tongji University in Shanghai, China, thus ensuring the scientific basis for the adaptation of the technologies used to the local disposal management situation.

Work packages

IntenKS is divided into three central work packages (WP 1, WP 2, WP 3), each of which is divided into two phases. The first phase of each work package marks preparatory work, such as comparative preliminary studies between the university partners, component tests, concept development, design, plant engineering (TDH/HTC, process water treatment) and conversion/modification of existing experimental technology (aeration technology, anaerobic treatment).
