The treatment of the process water from thermally (pre-) treated sewage sludge from WP 2 is carried out by means of two different biological processes operated in parallel with after-treatment. The use of advanced online measuring technology, the applicability of which is to be optimized for the high process water load, allows the implementation of an automation concept. Parallel investigations in Germany, e.g. on the inhibition of nitrification, allow the optimization of the plant during operation. A further research topic is the development and testing of novel diffusers in process water treatment, which are also tested in China under real conditions.
