With the focus on the acquisition of boundary conditions, coordination with the Chinese project partner and wastewater treatment plant operators is essential for further research. The focus lies on the international transferability of the analyses, i.e. the comparison of methodological procedures, analysis regulations as well as terms and reference values. For the location of the pilot plants a detailed consideration of the material flows is carried out with the aim to clearly identify differences in the sludge composition compared to German wastewater treatment plants. From this, adjustments and optimizations are derived, which are essential for the planning and construction of the pilot plants.
