Work package 2

For the investigation of the long-term operation of the thermal (pre-) treatment units as well as the anaerobic stabilization a semi-technical pilot plant is developed, built and operated. Reactors on pilot plant scale are operated and balanced with the aim of evaluating a strong variance of the process boundary conditions, as well as a digestion to provide the process water for WP 3. The associated dewatering is also considered and optimized. Parallel investigations in Germany allow not only the determination of the influence of the sludge quality but also additional long-term investigations under variation of the digestion conditions for different sludges.
