Language of instruction: German

Term cycle: WiSe

Content of teaching/Exam requirement:

Selected technologies and processes of industrial wastewater treatment in practical use, application areas / limits and boundary conditions : Membrane processes (e.g. reverse osmosis / nanofiltration), adsorption (e.g. activated carbon, zeo lite, isotherms), oxidation processes (e.g. Fenton's oxidation), precipitation / flocculation (e.g. neutralisation precipitation , heavy metal elimination , demulsification)

Learning Outcomes:

  • On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
  • measure, plan, design, operate and maintain treatment plants and processes taking into account technical, economic and ecological aspects
  • weigh different solutions, explain them objectively and comprehensibly, make justified decisions,
  • present the results of their work in a suitable form,
  • independently deal with subject-specific problems according to scientific principles.
