The research and testing field of the chair wastewater technology is located at the wastewater treatment plant Darmstadt Süd in Darmstadt Eberstadt.

Since 1994 there is a cooperation between Institute IWAR and Entega AG.

Research and teaching is conducted at the pilot plants for wastewater and sewage sludge treatment.
