Technical Department at Institute IWAR

The technical department is a workshop at the Institute IWAR that supports all of its chairs with technical planning and practical application of pilot plants in laboratory scale as well as on technical-scale and large-scale installations.

Services of the technical department include:

  • mechanical construction
  • lathe work
  • milling operations
  • welding work
  • repair work

The technical department is located in the basement of building L5|01 (west wing of the old civil engineering building). The employees of the technical department also work at the research and testing field in Darmstadt-Eberstadt and support externally installed research facilities.
