On July 28, for the first time in three years, an excursion for students in the Master's program on the lecture “Industrial Wastewater Treatment” was held. Despite several postponements, more than half of the course participants set out to visit a paper mill in Aschaffenburg.
On July 28, for the first time in three years, an excursion for students in the Master's program on the lecture “Industrial Wastewater Treatment” was held. Despite several postponements, more than half of the course participants set out to visit a paper mill in Aschaffenburg.
After a warm welcome from the operators, the company, existing freshwater and wastewater concepts and future planned changes to the plant were presented over cool drinks and coffee. Afterwards, the production and wastewater treatment plant was inspected. Thanks to an audio guide system distributed in advance, questions could be asked and answered at all stations of the tour, despite sometimes loud machine noises. After a concluding technical discussion, the visitors from Darmstadt said goodbye after an exciting 3.5 hours and many new impressions.
