Media Coverage

The Department of Water and Environmental Biotechnology deals with current issues in the field of wastewater. In addition to aspects of resource recovery from wastewater, the Corona pandemic has been a particular focus of public attention in recent years. The WUB department was involved early on in detecting SARS-CoV-2 viruses in wastewater and using this methodology as an instrument for monitoring the occurrence of infections. The high social importance of these topics is also reflected in the media coverage: a large number of articles about the research at the WUB Department were published in various media – from reports in national newspapers, podcasts and interviews in radio programmes to various video contributions on television and online.
