Visit from Prof. Akihiko Terada

Prof. Akihiko Terada from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) visited Darmstadt and the Department of Water and Environmental Biotechnology from 06.08. to 11.08.2023.
The WUB team can look back on a week full of exciting discussions and lively professional exchange with Prof. Terada.
The department presented some of its current research projects, including the topics of Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactors (MABR) and reduction of nitrous oxide emissions in wastewater treatment. In the subsequent discussion, Prof. Terada provided his expertise: In addition to a lively exchange of experiences, ideas for future research questions could be found.
