New thesis

Anthropogenic trace substances can negatively affect natural waters, so their input into the environment must be minimized. Advanced treatment methods for the elimination of trace substances are necessary. Ozone is one of the methods used for this purpose. Matrix-specific tests must be carried out before each application of ozonation to optimize the process regarding elimination performance and the formation of undesired by-products.

In this bachelor’s thesis, some statistical analysis, data interpretation, and structural analysis will be performed on the data available on the ozonation of trace organic pollutants. The main focus is determining reaction kinetics using the available data, finding correlations between matrix-specific parameters, pollutant elimination, and their chemical structure. If interested, the tasks could also change to include some lab work.
